Recent advertisements on blog posts

    Hi,

    I recently noticed banner advertisements at the end of every blog post. I searched the forums (and would have replied to a thread to avoid starting a new topic but I was unable to) and found that many bloggers have also experienced the same thing. I understand that WordPress sometimes runs advertisements in order to keep the WordPress service free, and that this has been in WordPress’ terms of service since 2006.

    I would just like to understand more about this service, as I haven’t seen these advertisements since I started my blog in July. Does WordPress run these advertisements irregularly, meaning that sometimes I will see them and sometimes I will not? And I cannot move the banner to another space? I apologize if these questions are answered elsewhere, but the details are not in the T&C of WordPress. I would just like to understand more about this feature before I decide whether to leave WordPress.com

    I don’t know about the frequency – but if you are logged in you don’t see any ads. I bought the no ads upgrade ($ 30– / year) for my site.
