Recent changes to editor are problematic.

    It used to be, a week ago, easy to add new blocks, but now the spot where I must click to get the “+” has moved, it is hard to find, and I often end up with an extra text block inserted that I have to delete.

    I was making do with that, but now I can only copy one block at a time, which means I can’t copy my entire post and paste it into Word to check spelling, grammar, and to have Word read it aloud to me. This has been working just fine for the past year and was a big help.

    I don’t know what the “upgrade” contains or was designed to fix, but the two changes I do notice make using it markedly worse.

    Please revert to the previous version or fix these reductions in functionality.

    Hi there,

    It used to be, a week ago, easy to add new blocks, but now the spot where I must click to get the “+” has moved, it is hard to find, and I often end up with an extra text block inserted that I have to delete.

    This is difficult to troubleshoot without knowing more about how you are adding blocks currently. So instead I will show you that I seem to be finding the “+” a bit easier than you describe. For me, when I hover my cursor between existing blocks, I see it appear as a blue line with a “+” in the middle.

    If you try that as well (focusing on hovering your cursor between sections) do you see it more readily as well?

    If not you can consider this second option where you put your cursor in the place you want your new block to appear, then click the + that is available in the editor toolbar in the upper right.

    If you are having difficulty copying the text out of the editor view, what if you try the “preview” option, and the copy from that view instead?

    I’m a bit confused by this, as there were no major updates in the last week. Do you have these same issues if you try an alternate browser like Firefox instead of Chrome?
