Recent comment widget on second blog

I am developing a second wordpress.com blog within my main account and I have set that second blog to private at the moment. I am currently working on my widgets and I have added a “Recent Comments” widget on the left sidebar (Im using Digg template). Of course I have no comments yet as no one has seen it yet, but at the moment when I click on “Visit Site” I have noticed that it displays the comments made to my other blog instead of just remaining blank.
My question is : is it going to remain like that when I switch to “Public”? That would really annoy me as the other blog is in another language anyway, and that would really confuse my readers. Why isn’t the widget just focussing on the new blog’s comments? I really need an answer to this as I may need to set up another account and transfer this blog to it, if the widget won’t work the way I want it to work….
    Thanks for any help!

Hello, :) Did you try clearing your cache, or clearing your internet memory?

Or possibly, I think you should go to your first blog, delete the “Recent Comments” widget you already have.

Then, “Save Changes.” Go back to the widget options page, and publish a new “Recent Comments” widget and “Save Changes.”

Maybe this will trigger a solution to your second blog, by not having the same “Recent Comments” widget information as your first blog.

If that does not work, do the same steps above but for your second blog.

If none of this works, you should contact WordPress.com Support.

Hmm… I think it will remain that way once you change to public, but maybe once you follow those steps I gave you above, (after you change to public) all will be fine.

Also, to be blunt, if you know you are not having any comments at the moment for your “Private” WordPress blog, then why would you even place the “Recent Comments” widget in the first place?

Since that widget has no comments to read at the moment, or to receive at the moment, it is taking the comments from your other blog and placing it there. (Since its under the same WordPress account)

If I were you, I would take away the “Recent Comments” widget and place it back once you are finished constructing your site under “Private.” You might want to do this because if this continues, this may start other glitchy errors to your first blog.

Also, maybe all will be fixed on its own once you start getting comments to your second blog… Maybe it will fix itself.

By the way, can you please give us a link to your blog? (I am assuming your first blog)
