Recent comment widget still NOT working

    Despite reporting the various problems with the Recent Comment Widget, including a very detailed description of all the things that were not working (and why they were not working); and despite Staff reporting that the issues have been fixed – the Recent Comments Widget is still NOT working properly.

    I shall explain in detail the problem that still exists…..

    Let us say that the RCW widget has been configured to display the last 15 widgets. The RCW widget presumably counts back from the most recent comment and adds 15 comments to the widget. Sounds simple doesn’t it?

    However, if you comment in an Attachment Page ( e.g. When commenting on a photo) this does count as a comment. If you look at all your comments, there it is. However, the RCW ignores it. This means that you can end up with less than 15 comments. You can even end up with no comments.

    Staff – please try to appreciate what I have written (for about the 5th time).

    BTW my blog is private, but the posts are not password protected. It should be a simple matter to test on your own blog – provided you comment on an Attachment Page.
