  Why are my recent comments the first things I wrote when I joined and not the messages I have written since?

  Hi. Comments are not the same thing as posts (also known as updates), even if they look the same in the theme you selected.

  Your “Recent comments” widget will only display the replies to your updates. If you want your recent updates to show up instead, use the “Recent posts” widget. This is normal.
