Recent comments module permissions

    Hi there,

    I have a permissions question about a WP blog in general. I have a user who is not admin, but of type “author” in my blog . When the user logs in, his dashboard displays the recent comments module. However the user is not allowed to edit any of the comments, and the comments are from all users of the site, not just comments made on posts by this user. Is there anyway to customize that?
    The same problem appears for the edit posts screen. All posts from all users are displayed here. I’d like just the posts from this user to appear here. I had thought this would be the default behavior, but it doesn’t appear to be so?

    No, there is no way to customize that. You might want to send your suggestions to staff via your dashboard Help button.
