Recent Comments not showing in widget on homepage

  I can’t work out why comments aren’t showing in this widget.
  None of the posts are set to private but it is saying “there are no public comments available to display.

  The comments are on images like this:

  (rather than posts)

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
