“Recent Comments” Not showing New Comments

Add topic to favorites
I just made a comment to my blog and it’s not showing up under “Recent Comments”. I’ve jiggled the Comment widget a bit, trying to wake it up hoping to fix it (Taking it back down to widgets and putting it back up, reducing the size of the avatars, etc) with no result.

help?

I’m having the same problem since today, at the same time that the avatar were displayed.

p.s. it’s not stuck in askimet -just not showing up in recent comments.

I have reported the avatar problem to staff via email.
I also note that it is the enabling Recent Comment widget display of avatars that the staff have been working on. This suggests the two are related.
The situation has been reported and sending multiple emails is not recommended.

Thanks timethief- i’ve just disabled the avatars from showing alongside the ‘recent comments’ and now the recent comments are updating. rather have the comments than the avatars :) though love the new feature. will enable once again once it’s fixed!

I too have disabled the new “feature” and I’m roflmao because I consider it to be useless “tat”. Thanks for the update though. Now we know for sure that the two are connected and that there is an interim solution for those who find their Recent Comments aren’t displaying.

If time passes and the same problems persist then please send in feedbacks to staff as Volunteers and Moderators do not have backend access to blogs.

I noticed that the avatar comments are NOT updating for the past few hours…they are showing up on each entry but not on the sidebar. PLUS if I change it from 15 comments to 5 or 8 or 10…it won’t update. Just thought you might like to know. This has just been happening to me since the avatar comments upgrade.

We just fixed a bug that was causing this problem. Next time a comment is made on your blog, the widget should update. Sorry for the trouble!

Under Presentation –> Sidebar Widgets you go in there and edit the widget by clicking on it. Then you can select whether or not to show avatars.
