Recent comments widget

  Recent comments not working
  WP broke this a few days ago. Before then, comments made on pages as well as posts appeared in the widget. Now, only comments made on posts appear.

  I have hundreds of pages in my blog and can no longer see recent comments. Please could you revert the widget to its previous functionality?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Oh – I see what you’ve done. You now tick whether you want comments from posts, pages and media. Default was posts – that was probably a mistake.

  the widget does not show comments if you just tick media, despite there being media comments. Never mind…..

  Could you please send me a link of a recent media comment that’s missing in the widget? it might be that the most recent media comment is not as recent as the post or page comment and therefore is not included in the widget.

  Otherwise try commenting on a photo to see if your comment gets included in the widget.

  No the media comments are recent. Sorry but my blog is private, but I’m sure you could try this yourself….

  1. Set the recent posts widget to show media comments ONLY
  2. Make a comment on a media attachment page

  The comment will not show.

  3. Change the recent posts widget so that it includes comments from either posts or pages AND media comments. The comment will now be visible.

  I was able to reproduce the issue and just reported it to our developers to fix. I’ll contact you once I know more.
