Hi there! I started drafting a post back in November and finally finished it yesterday so I could publish it this morning. Once I published it, it’s showing the publish date for back in November so the post is now buried among more recent posts of mine. How can I fix this so it doesn’t happen again? I tend to draft out ideas and finish them later a lot

Hi there,
The post should have been published at the date you published it, rather than the date on which you started drafting. To have it published at an older date you would have had to explicitly specify the publication date at some point while working on the draft.
To fix this post, edit it again. Make sure the editor sidebar is on the Post tab, and click on the date appearing there to change it:
For the next post you publish, before you click Publish, make sure the date shows as “Immediately”:
I took this screen shot on a draft on my own test site that was started in November, and when I published it, it shows to day as the publication date, which tells me this is working as expected.
