recent post disappeared

My most recent post has disappeared (along with the comments) and when I click on the link in my dashboard it says “404 file not found”. I checked in my drafts and an earlier draft is there but with out the photos or formatting, two comments, but none of the most recent.
Any suggestions?

Checked that and clicked “restore” but it was an older draft, without critical changes I made before it was posted, and without the comments or photos.
Any idea what happened? The final version seems to have just disappeared into the ether.

Do you have a back button on your browser?
Have you checked Google’s cache?

Checked but no luck. I found a copy by going to the dashboard comments, clicking on the the most recent which had the final text of the post, then cutting and pasting into a new post. I then had to re-add the photos. Seems to have worked but do you have any idea how this happened so I won’t do it again.
