  So I had this on my blog and then I came in and some how deleted it and cannot figure out how to get it back, can you help? I used to have a small section of 5 most recent posts under my header. It used to be there and then my blogs would appear like normal below. Does that make sense?

  Go to Appearance → Theme Options on your dashboard and re-check the box. They should come right back.

  I have that checked yet it still does not appear on the main page of my blog

  Do you have featured images set for each of the most recent posts?

  Nope and when I try that, it sets it up as a regular post as apposed to the newest 5 posts in a small 2×2 thumbnail under the header. Does that make sense?

  You might try un-checking the box, clicking “save changes” then re-checking the box and clicking save changes again. I’m not sure that will help, but it’s worth a shot.

  The other thing I noticed is that the “recent posts” show up on the page where you have your blog posts, not necessarily your home page. In your case, it looks like you have your new posts going to the front page of your site, so that shouldn’t be in play–just wanted to mention it in case you had also been messing with that feature.
