Recent posts from blog 2 on sidebar of blog 1

Add topic to favorites
I have 2 blogs under the same username on wordpress.com. Is it possible for me to have information from one blog added to the sidebar of my other blog?

For example, I would like to put the 5 most recent posts from blog 2 on the sidebar of blog 1. If there is an easy way to do it via widgets, great, but code would be helpful too.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I can’t think of an automatic way, but if you copy the code for the most recent posts on blog 2 into a text widget on blog 1 you’ll have your links.
Visit blog 2. Choose “view source” (under “View” in Firefox and Safari). A new screen will pop up with the code that makes your site. Go to the Edit menu (of the browser) and choose “Find” or use the keyboard shortcut command F. You want to find “Recent Posts” so type that in the search box. The words will highlight and you can see the list of links to your recent posts.

It will look a little more confusing because the titles of the posts will be all different. Just copy the bits from the start of the unordered list
into a text widget on blog 1.
When you update blog 2, you’ll have to copy the new code into blog 1.

You can also put the RSS widget into the sidebar of blog 1, enter the RSS feed URL for blog 2 into the RSS widget, and then set it to display the 5 most recent posts.
