“Recent posts” sidebar widget display problem
-
I use the Andreas09 theme on my WordPress.com hosted blog.
I use the sidebar widget to display recent posts.
Until today, the recent posts would display so that each post would be separated by a blank line.
Starting today, however, there is no separation between the posts displayed, so they all run together like one long paragraph.
What could have caused this display problem?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I see exactly what you mean. The Recent Posts display in that widget has lost it’s ordering. Another member using the same theme pointed out another weirdness with the Recent Comments widget just the other day. It’s here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/recent-posts-widget-in-andreas09-options-no-more?replies=9#post-443189

I can’t find anything else using search that can help so I believe you will have to contact Staff for assistance http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

I forgot to mention I also sent email to tech support when I posted this. So far I haven’t gotten a reply. I’ll leave this question open until I get something and will post update here.

This situation has me wishing I could see other WP blogs that use my theme. Now that would be a nifty tool for WP to give us…ability to sort WP blogs by which theme they use.

That’s easily done. Go to Google and copy this as is without placing a space after the colon into the search bar and click.

I got an answer from support:
“We made a change yesterday where we reinstated the widget called “Andreas 09 Recent Posts”. This widget was accidently removed for a while and we just put it back to fix the mistake. You had a generic recent posts widget but “Andreas 09 Recent Posts” works better with this theme so I replaced it with this one.”
Sure enough, it’s working fine now.
@timethief: Of course! Thanks for the tip.
