  Recent Posts widget (Karuna theme) is now displaying the titles in a much larger font – I’ve viewed it in different browsers and is the same. Headings now take up four lines in the sidebar.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hey there,

  Could you please share your website’s URL?
  The one mentioned here doesn’t have a recent posts widget or karuna theme.

  Just to add, having looked at the source code it shows that the items in the recent posts list use the ‘h4’ html tag – whether something has changed in the Karuna stylesheet I can’t say but I personally can’t modify it as I have a free account with WordPress.

  Hi again,

  Thank you for the details.
  I tried the Karuna theme in my site and added a recent posts widget to the sidebar. The font size appears just normal.
  I am not sure what could have possibly gone wrong there.
  Can you check the size of fonts in My Sites > Customize > Fonts.

  If that doesn’t help, can you try removing the widget, saving the changes and then re-adding the widget again.

  Now that I see, you are using the ‘Display WordPress Posts’ widget, instead of ‘Recent Posts’ widget which is making it appear bigger.

  Display WordPress posts is generally used to display posts from another WordPress site. While recent posts widget is used to display your site’s recent posts.

  Please remove that widget and add the ‘Recent Posts’ widget.

  Many thanks vinnykaur, I’ve just changed to the Recent Posts widget and that is now working fine and the font size is just right! Although, I still wonder why the font size on the Display WordPress Posts changed to a bigger font recently as it doesn’t really work at that bigger size. Nevertheless, well spotted and your help was much appreciated and I hadn’t even noticed I was using the incorrect widget all this time.
