Recent Posts Widget – With Preview

  I think that a Recent Posts widget that shows the featured photo (as a thumbnail, or otherwise scaled-down image) and the title, along with a short excerpt from the beginning of the post would be nice.

  The current one is really very blah.

  I would hate to have to take on the responsibilities of self-hosting just to get access to an expanded recent posts widget, because I like the access to in-network promotion.
