Recent Problems — commenters report problems, some of my articles not posting.
-
I just wrote an article and it would not post. You can see it in my Menu bar for some reason, though. (You can actually see those right now.) I eventually got it to post by creating a “test” entry, then pasting body and changing the title. I have had this happen to me twice in the past, but assumed it was my problem, but it’s obviously not.
Also, users have started complaining about not being able to post comments.
It could be coincidence, but all the problems seem to have started when you forced me to start going to the Dashboard in order to use the old editor.
(The problem with the new editor is the title box is nearly as large as the box for the body. You can only see one or two lines to edit, for crying out loud. No one is going to be happy with that.)
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
For locating the ways and means of accessing the legacy or classic pages for creating posts, editing posts, and viewing stats see here http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2015/04/05/navigating-the-classic-wordpress-com-interface/ -
Until you provide a URL for whatever you are referring to in your menu we cannot help you with it. Please do that now.

Right. I’ve already gone through all that. I’m just saying these problems seem to have cropped up only after I was forced to start jumping through those hoops. If I only need to correct a word or two, I use the new editor since it pops up by default when you hit Edit.
I used WordPress for three years and never had a single problem. Not one. I have to jump through hoops now to edit, and my website is no longer working properly. Coincidence or not, my website is messed up and, like I said, I never had any problems before.

Just pull up my website. You will see “Home” and “About” and the, inexplicably, the title of my entries which would not post. If you click on them, you see them.

I found where I can delete them via Appearance/Menus, then Menu Structure. But I didn’t put them there. Maybe that’s where they went when I said “they didn’t post.” Not sure why. Like I said, in four years, I’ve never had this problem before. Anyway, I’m going to clean them up now.

I have blogged for 10 years and spent 9 of them answering support questions here. Rather than responding to that and recounting exactly how I feel about the unannounced, unexpected, unwanted and undesirable changes being presented to us as improvements, I am choosing to I tag this thread for Staff assistance. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.

Thanks. I appreciate your help. By the way, I was not allowed to remove the posts from my header/menu(?) bar (as I described above), although I went through the procedure… Thanks again.

Hey there,
I just wrote an article and it would not post. You can see it in my Menu bar for some reason, though.
Could you please give me a link to this and any other posts that aren’t appearing as expected? Thanks much!

This isn’t the way this page displays for me. Please take a screenshot, so I can better understand the issue. You can simply upload the screenshot to your Media Library, like any other image, and I’ll be able to access it from there.
The page at the following link has some helpful tips for taking screenshots:
Just let me know when there’s something else I can look at.
Also, users have started complaining about not being able to post comments.
I’ve done a few tests with comments on your site, and I am not having trouble. Do you know what posts were causing difficulties for your readers? Do you know what their problems were? For instance did they receive and error message, did they not see the comment box, did their comments get caught in a spam filter? Send me some more details and I can check into this further.
Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks very much.
