Recently canceled with WordPress

I am new to the blogging realm. I purchased my domain through GoDaddy and then purchased something within WordPress and was afraid I duplicated purchases. I chatted with a customer service rep to have my money refunded to my credit card for my WordPress account. However, I spoke with a rep at GoDaddy and was given instruction to utilize my domain within WordPress and just adjust my settings in order to direct everything through WordPress. My domain name is no longer usable on WordPress due to my recent creation and deletion of the account. Could someone please assist me with some basic questions I have?
1. How do I retain my domain name ‘daringdame.me’ within WordPress without WordPress changing it to ‘daringdameme.wordpress.com’? Does this change how people are able to find my domain? I wanted it to simply be ‘daringdame.me’.
2. Is it possible to recreate my domain within WordPress?
I will probably have more questions, but this is my starting point. Remember, I am a beginner to all of this. ;-) Thank you for any support you can lend my way!

1) You mentioned that you had deleted your WordPress account, so you would have to recreate a WordPress paid account in order to point your domain name to your WP site. The ability to add the use of a personal domain isn’t available with a free account. You can view their pricing plans and what those include here:
https://wordpress.com/pricing2) As long as you’re planning on using your own domain name to point to your WP site, then it really doesn’t matter what it’s called on the WP side, because ultimately that won’t be used by those visiting your site anyway. (If I’m understanding your question correctly, that is.)
