Recently Delete Site
-
Upon first attempting to create a photo/blog site, I became frustrated with how it was looking. I deleted the site and left for a few months. I’ve recently returned and wanted to pick up where I left off.. However, the site I deleted: NorthAmericanRoads.wordpress.com is not available, yet it says it’s been deleted by the user (me). For testing purposes, I’ve created a secondary site named NorthAmericanRoadsBlog.wordpress.com Can you reactivated or clear the first Url so that I ca regain control of that site?.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
During the deletion process, there are several warnings that once you choose to delete, the blog address/url will no longer be available. The only exception is if it has been two or more years since being deleted and does not have any username or other technical conflicts.

I'm unable to log back in to reply to you.. so in other words I'm screwed because I got frustrated and deleted my site: NorthAmericanRoads.wordpress.com that I'm now not able to acquire this site back at least for 2 whole years.. which is pointless for me to continue to blog at my current site seeing how the url is not what I wanted..

I have the same problem. I changed my personal site name from floyddavephotograpy.wordpress.com to floyddave.wordpress.com.
Now I want to start up my business site floyddavephotography.wordpress.com, but it wants to change that to floyddavephotographyBLOG.wordpress.com (it’s long enough already! :) ).
Surely you can make exceptions to such an arbitrary rule? Can’t I simply have my *unused* site name (floyddavephotography.wordpress.com)?

Dave you're so right.. they know we're the ones that deleted our own sites just because we couldn't decide on a name.. or that we needed to change the name. Most other sites forums etc, offer this servers for a limited time because they realize one changes their minds.. even facebook offers this service.. In this instance, if I was the owner of the deleted site it should be placed back in service or at least be allowed for me (site creator) to adjust these setting to best suit or needs. So now I'm faced with waiting 2 years to get this old url back.. and even after I wait that long.. their no guaranty someone else will get my url before I do..

I understand. The process is set up that way to prevent you from accidentally deleting your blog address. That’s why there are several warnings given in order to accomplish deletion.

Because you’re (wordpress) is unwilling to fulfill my request, I’m requesting that you delete my account..

Sent you a contact link via you contact page. Just wanted to forward this to you:
I’m already there..

Hi @t0astervan, as our community members have pointed out, and as our warnings state, when you delete a site, the URL is not released for re-use.
Usernames are also not released for re-use. For this reason, we do not delete them. If you feel very strongly, you can remove yourself from the name, though. You would essentially lock yourself out by changing the email address to a throwaway and picking a random password.
If you might want it back later, keep the account. Best wishes either way.

Why was this email sent to me.. clearly you’ve not willing to amend this even after I spoke with your twitter page holder who seems to think they can reactivate my page.. in other word.. remove my email from your FU list.
