Recently, Jetpack is failing to connect to my website.

    It has been working fine for about 4 months now. But from yesterday, I found that my website is taking too long to connect, and even afer connecting, stats are not showing up. so I tracked down the problem to this that Jetpack was delaying as it could not connect to my site.

    I get the following error :

    Jetpack could not contact WordPress.com: register_http_request_failed. This usually means something is incorrectly configured on your web host.
    couldn’t connect to host
    Blog url: http://grssam.com/

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    I have the exact same problem since last WordPress update. Stats and other jetpack services stopped working at first, and disabling/enabling Jetpack brings up the same prompt:

    Jetpack could not contact WordPress.com: register_http_request_failed. This usually means something is incorrectly configured on your web host.

    Couldn’t resolve host ‘jetpack.wordpress.com’

    Any ideas?
