Recipe Plugins

Hi, do I have to have the paid for business membership to add a recipe plugin? WordPress is telling me I do but I can’t find any info saying I do on the web. Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
Plugins are only available on Premium or Business plans.
You can read more about it here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/
Hope this helps :)

Thank you. It looks like to get a recipe theme you need a business plan too? Are there ever offers on the plans? Like 20% your first year? As I’m not making money yet and not sure where it’s going to go but I don’t really want to start investing until I can be sure I can cover the payments. Thanks!

Hi,
You can use search terms like “recipes” or “cooking” when looking for a theme for a WordPress.com site. For example, here are some themes which are great for recipe content: https://wordpress.com/themes?s=recipes
Plan prices remain the same and are paid annually. You can compare the prices and features here: https://wordpress.com/plans/
Hope this helps :)

We have a recipe shortcode you can use.
[recipe] formats a recipe with basic metadata and an option to print. » Full instructions are at https://en.support.wordpress.com/recipes/ -

Thank you so much! I had actually just decided to go with the business plan and install the Kale theme but now I’m thrown!
I was also confused between the business plan on WordPress.com and self hosting as a lot of the comparison info out there seems to be old, before WordPress offered the £3 business plan which seems to rival Bluehost in many aspects?
How easy would it be to transfer my posts to Kale if I decided to upgrade later?
Thanks again so much for your help!
