I see that there is a shortcode to add recipes to a site, but it doesn’t create any sort of an easy backend entry system, and we can’t use plugins on wordpress.com? is this true? Is there no way to create an easy backend for entering recipes?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello @angelastageslearning,
Seems like you are lost between WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG.
Your site(http://teacherprod.com/) is using WordPress.ORG, and this is WordPress.COM.Also, it looks like you have not completed installation of WordPress.ORG on your host. Please complete that by visiting http://teacherprod.com/, and then login to your WordPress.ORG dashboard by visiting here:
http://teacherprod.com/wp-login.phpThis forum only supports the sites hosted on WordPress.COM and not elsewhere.
Both(WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG) are different products. You can find out the differences between them here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
To get help, you can post your question on the WordPress.ORG support forum: https://wordpress.org/support/
we can’t use plugins on wordpress.com? is this true?
Yes, that is true. We are not allowed to upload custom plugins on WordPress.COM.
You can read about it here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/But since you are using WordPress.ORG for your site(http://teacherprod.com/) you can do that.
Is there no way to create an easy backend for entering recipes?
There’s no way to access backend codes/files on WordPress.COM. Again, since your is using WordPress.ORG you can do that.
Hope this helps 🙂
