Reciprocal Link
-
Hi,
I recently used the Text Widget to add a reciprocal link to my blog. I copied and pasted the html supplied by the site I wish to link to.
Their picture and link appears at the bottom right of my blog, but so does my own link.
Is this normal? If not, how do I remove my own link?
My site is at
http://earlychildcare.wordpress.com/Thanks!
Regards
MarkThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Oh, and here’s the bit the other website requested me to copy and paste
<p><img src=”http://blogmalaysia.com/images/reciprocal.gif” alt=”BlogMalaysia.com” border=”0″></p>

Paste the code between backticks ( ` ) here in the forum (the reverse apostrophe looking symbol so that it will show up.

I just looked at your blog and it looks like you figured this problem out, is that correct?

Here’s the code with the backticks (?)
<p><a href="http://BlogMalaysia.com/"><img src="http://blogmalaysia.com/images/reciprocal.gif" alt="BlogMalaysia.com" border="0"></a></p>I haven’t changed anything, but I think the “my own link on my blog” I was referring to on my blog is actually my gravatar. What’s the purpose of putting it there?
Sorry bout the false alarm, and thanks for your time though!
Regards

You can link your gravatar image in the gravatar widget to anything you want. One possibility is linking it to your about page if you have one, or possibly to an external website of yours.
