Reclaim subdomain name of deleted blog

  Hello,
  I deleted a blog (santhoshsram.wordpress.com) a year or so back, but would like to use it for a new blog site I’m creating with wordpress.com. When I try to create a new blog with this domain, wordpress says it’s unavailable. However when I navigate to the url (santhoshsram.wordpress.com) I see a message that it was deleted by it’s authors. Since I am the unfortunate author that deleted it, is it possible for me to reclaim the subdomain?
