Reclaim username

Yesterday I changed the username on my account from “chrispoconnell” to “omegahalo1”. I want to open a premium WordPress account as a professional site about myself. When I tried to register a new account with the username “chrispoconnell” I’m told the name exists. I tried to go back in to my account and change my name from “omegahalo1” back to “chrispoconnell” and am told I can’t because the username exists already.

I’m wondering what can be done to reclaim my chrispoconnell username so I can open a new premium account?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I don’t think you need to reclaim the name chrispoconnoell to get chrispoconnoell.com address, unless that’s not what you want and all you want is to have chrispoconnoell.wordpress.com.

I think this other thread will help you. In short:

You cannot, however, change the blog address again to an address previously used, because our system considers both the old blog address and the new one to be separate blogs.

This is what we find in the relevant support documentation:

Once you change your username you will not be able to change it back and the old name will not be available for you or anyone to use. If you just want to show your name differently please only change your Display Name. http://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/
