Recommendation for structure
-
I have a situation where I want to have a main site with pages and have subdomains that points to three different blogs.
So say that mydomain.com has pages to make a basic website and I have thre subdomains bloga, blogb, and blogc. Those should be reachable on bloga.mydomain.com, blogb.mydomain.com, and blogc.mydomain.com.
On mydomain.com, I want to get to a page and not a blog if possible. If needed I could have a single post that serves as a strtingpoint with links taking the users to other pages and to the different blogs.
Does this make sense to do with a base using wordpress or should I have the website elsewhere and just have the three blogs on wordpress? If it makes sense, would I want to use a fourth blog with no blogs to serve as the place where the different posts are created? Or would it be better to have one of the blogs for it and also have a subdomain pointing to it?
My current thoughts are to have a fourth blog for the base (mydomain.com) with no blogposts and then subdomains mapped to the different blogs. So I’d like to know if this structure is reasonable for what I want to accomplish before I set it up and move my current home for the blogs.
