Recommended Reading: Authors on WordPress.com

  I wrote a book upon which my blog is based. I would like to know what one needs to do to have their book considered for Recommended Reading: Authors on WordPress.com

  I can appreciate a decision that the book may not make the cut and be recommended. I just wish to know what I would have to do to have it considered.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  There’s nothing that you can do, as the recommended blogs are Staff selections just as the freshly pressed posts are https://en.support.wordpress.com/freshly-pressed/

  Timethief, thank you very much for the quick reply. Although I wasn’t looking for anyone to recommend my blog, I was wondering about a book recommendation; but I believe your advice applies to either blog or book. Just in case I am mistaken; here is a start of a WordPress email I receive today that will give you an idea of what I was trying for:

  Yes, my interest was in how one could get their book on the staff’s radar so that it could rejected consciously, rather than by the staff never being aware of the book. Again, thank you so much for the information you have provided. I did check out that “freshly pressed” link and it seemed helpful for making my blog a bit more interesting.

  There are ten of thousands of us publishing on tens of thousands, maybe even hundreds of thousands of blogs every day, and there no means of doing what you want to do.

  Understand, that no doubt holds true for books also. I try to investigate different avenues for making people aware of my book. This particular avenue appears to be a dead end. I appreciate your time and interest in helping me. Very kind of you. Again, thank you.
