    Hey all,

I have a blog on my website and currently it shows links to wordpress.org and wordpress.com and none of my posts.
I am unsure as to whether I did something wrong when I came in last time or whether someone is fiddling with my page but I could use a little insight as to how I am get my posts to be displayed so that visitors can navigate through my blog again.

Please assist. I have become rather enamored with blogging as of late but I am still a novice to it. any help will be appreciated.

We need a link to the blog. The site linked to your username is not a wordpress.COM blog.

Found it, after 2 seconds of actually looking for it. Some people are so lazy @TSP xD

    Home

You need to go to Widgets and choose to have Recent Posts as a widget by dragging and dropping.

Also, you’ve only got one post. If you wrote more posts and they aren’t showing up, it’s because they are drafts and not Published posts. Edit the post to change them.

How do you know that is the blog they are talking about?

    This,

I have a blog on my website

makes it sound like perhaps they are talking about a self-hosted blog. I’ve spent too much time chasing assumptions in the past, so having the person verify their blog address is simply a good thing.

I have six blogs on my wordpress.COM account. If I ask a question here in the forums, and don’t tell you which I’m talking about what is the likelihood you will be able to find it?

Now to your advice to the OP you are completely wrong if that is the blog they are talking about.

@johncarter, if this is the blog you are talking about, http://johncarter111.wordpress.com/ , what you have done is set your about page as the static front page for your blog, but you have not created and set a page to be used to display your posts.

Create a new page and name it “Blog” or “Articles” or whatever you choose and publish it. Next go to settings > reading and set that page as the “Posts page” and then click “save changes.” The “blog” or “articles” page will now show in your pages widget.

@jimmy, another thing: there are many posts on http://johncarter111.wordpress.com/ . Click on all the monthly archives links in the sidebar. They have posts going clear back to May of 2008.

And another thing, jimmyleec. Even if that URL is the OP’s only blog, we’re not obliged to go looking for it: people asking questions here should help us help them. And even if an OP has only one blog, the username often isn’t the blog name too, so those “2 seconds” will have been spent in vain. New visitors must be informed that they have to provide a link to the blog in question, and members wishing to help must learn to ask for it. This is standard policy here – if you check the sticky “8 Things to Know Before Posting”, you’ll see it’s taken for granted.

And another thing. Click “Member” under “thesacredpath”; check the number of his replies, and check some of his replies, to see if calling this particular volunteer lazy has the slightest connection with the truth.
