Recover

I am Barry Mirtsching MD. I previously had email (email visible only to moderators and staff) when I ran the center for oncology research & treatment, p.a. (professional assn) in Dallas. I wrote the blog cancernews.wordpress.com. our office closed in 2013 (see the blog), and I closed the cortpa domain, the email was then lost. I am going to return to posting in WordPress, and if possible I would like to regain control of my prior content. How? I have logged in now with my (email visible only to moderators and staff) as a new account. I could not recall my past password and because my email has changed, getting a password reset to a dead email won’t help. I never has 2FA way back then. I don’t recall ever setting up a recovery alternate email either. Back then my office phone was [REDACTED], my home was [REDACTED], but mobile was a different number that I changed several years ago.

Hi Barry,
To regain access to your prior WordPress.com account, can you please follow the account recovery steps here: https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/
If the above steps do not help, I’d recommend submitting the Account Recovery form here: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery so that our accounts team can help you with recovering your account.
