Recover a blog domain that I deleted a year ago
-
A year ago I created fendygao.wordpress.com, but I deleted it mostly out of frustration and a desire to start from scratch. My current blog is gaofendy.wordpress.com (original, I know). I’d like to use my old domain again and transfer all my content there as well, but I’ve been trying to change my domain name to fendygao.wordpress.com and it’s still ‘taken’. Could someone help me reuse my previous domain name? Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello,
Do you still have access to the email address that you used to open that account? Do you remember the username and password?
If not; chances are that you will not be able to use it if it still shows up as taken.
Please read the following: https://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/
Best of luck.

Hi @fendygao,
It might take a little more time for you to be able to get back that “exact” name.
Sites already deleted by their authors two or more years ago may become available again, if they present no username or other technical conflicts.
There is more info in this support document > https://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/
But it boils down to that timeline.
I hope this helps. -
https://fendygao.wordpress.com is no longer available. The authors have deleted this site.
Deleting a URL is intended to be a permanent act and that is why warnings are given that one has to ignore to delete a site.
Deleted wordpress.COM blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and the only exceptions are made are for URLs that were deleted 2 or more years ago. http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/
You can register another .wordpress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
Adding a New Site or Blog to an Existing Account https://en.support.wordpress.com/create-a-blog/#adding-a-new-site-or-blog-to-an-existing-account
Then if you wish to you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade because it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.

@wpsuly yes I do! I used the same account to create my current blog. I get why WordPress has the 2-year period so that some people don’t find their previous domains suddenly used by a stranger, but I’m trying to recycle a domain that only I have used before.
Argh! Had I known of this I would’ve been more patient a year ago and found the “remove all content” button instead of the “delete site” button.
