Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/You can register another .wordpress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
Then if you wish to you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade because it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.

Exactly what is the URL of whatever it is that you deleted? If you need help with a WordPress.ORG install you are in the wrong forum – but you might have some options for getting content back that you don’t have here.
The blog linked to your name http://inmemoryofwomenlynchedinamerica.wordpress.com/ – is alive and well
<opinion>
Admirable project you have – however in looking at your Tags and Categories you have more than 15 it looks like on many of your Posts – that will hurt you with search engines as they will consider you a “Tag Spammer” – Tags & Categories are a case of less is more & better

@inmemoryofwomenlynchedinamerica,
The website A Reaction to Kara Walker’s A Subtlety (https://historicalrepresentationsofblackwomen.wordpress.com/) hasn’t been deleted, but it has no published posts. It didn’t find any page either.
I was able to find a Google web cache of a September 5, 2014 post from the blog A Reaction to Kara Walker’s A Subtlety, titled
“A Subtlety, an Artistic Expression of the History of Sugar Production,” written by Terri Mae Owens. -
It didn’t find any page either.
Correction:
Should have been: “I found no pages either.” -
@inmemoryofwomenlynchedinamerica,
All of the content of “A Subtlety, an Artistic Expression of the History of Sugar Production,” written by Terri Mae Owens, except the videos, can be recovered by copying and pasting it into a post or page editor. The four videos can then be replaced one by one. Let us know if you would like any help recovering that content to a new post or page.
