Recover a new wordpress registration – change email address
-
I have just registered a new blog but mistakenly typed a wrong email address domain during registration. The wrong domain was protonmail.com but the correct one supposed to be proton.me.
I attempted to change the email address while I was still logged in, but it was unsuccessful, because it was demanding that I read and do something in the wrong email account to approve the change, which I can’t access.
Now that I have logged out, I can’ even log in anymore, so I created a new wordpress account using the correct email address, but the first account lost.
Is there a way to recover that first wordpress.com account? Like through logging in using the password, instead of sending me login link via email.

I have entered a faulty domain name for my registration email address when creating a WordPress site. I have tried to change the email address, but it wants to send a link to the old wrong email, which I can not access.
How can I regain access to that new site and change the email address?
WP.com: Yes
Jetpack: No
Correct account: Yes -
