Recover a post

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi! Someone has just messaged to say they checked out one of my posts from a few months back, and the body of text is no longer there, so I had a look and my whole post is gone! The title and featured image is there but when you click through, the entire body of text has gone. I am absolutely gutted, is there any way to recover a previous version of your post? As when I go to edit it says 0 words, it was definitely well over 1000 words before. Please help :(

    Hi there,

https://yasminjohal.co.uk/ appears to be a self-hosted installation of WordPress and is hosted by SiteGround.

When you go to edit your post, look in the post revisions (in the Publish section). It shows any backed up copies of your post. See if any of the previous versions have the full text and you can restore.

You can get more help from the WordPress.org forums:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

Best of luck getting this sorted out :)
