Recover access to website

I inherited a website from someone who quit the project. At that time I had access, but not as an administrator. I managed the site for the past 2 years, and paid for it. It’s hosted on WordPress. How can I regain access without the gmail account that it was originally created with?

You can start this process by visiting the Account Recovery Form and selecting the option to prove ownership via payment details; once a manual review is completed by the support team, they can update the primary email address to yours and grant you full administrator rights. It is also worth checking if you can still log in with your current lower-level credentials to view the Upgrades > Purchases section, as the transaction details listed there can be used to verify your identity even more quickly.
