Recover deleted account – please help!
-
I am an idiot.
I have deleted my account.
I have since been advised that I had a blog and a website but, these were under/ classed as one account. When I deleted what I thought was the blog I didn’t have the savvy to realise it was closing everything down…
I have tried to use the recover account form that is provided within support but, I have none of the 3 information required.
Is it possible to give other information? I do not have the email activation link from when I opened the account as this was in 2010.
Please advise using basic language!!!
Thank you.

Hi emmaaldons,
Don’t worry, I’ll be happy to take a look. What is the username or email address of the account you closed in error? If you type the email address normally, it will be hidden from public view but staff will be able to see it.

That’s right, WordPress.com sites are owned by an account — closing an account deletes any sites it owns.

The account recovery form only applies to active sites and accounts. We have a different process for closed accounts and deleted sites so there is no need to fill out that form.
Do you still have a copy of the confirmation email we sent when the account was closed? If so, it would be great if you could reply there so we can look at the next steps and see whether it will be possible to restore the account and sites — this is only possible for the first 30 days though.
