Hi there,
I can start the process of restoring trollinthetreeline.com back to your account.
I have sent you the manual payment for the fee and registration, so please pay that when you get the opportunity and post in this thread once the manual payment has been made. Then, we’ll complete the domain restoration for you.
Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

Hi,
it looks like only the trollinthetreeline.Wordpress.com domain was restored and not the .com domain I had

Hi there,
trollinthetreeline.com has been restored, but it isn’t the primary domain because a primary custom domain is a feature that comes with a paid plan. You previously saw trollinthetreeline.com as the primary domain because you also had the Premium Plan. Without a paid plan, trollinthetreeline.com will forward to trollinthetreeline.wordpress.com. What are some of the goals for your site? I could recommend a plan that will work well with what you want to do.
Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any questions. -
Hi, that was not my understanding of this. I was under the impression that the domain was free for the first year with the plan. I wanted to restore that domain and not the word press domain where I do not want to utilize word press for hosting. So now I am stuck with a domain I no longer want. How do I get refunded for this so I can pursue a different named domain. This is a great reason why I am leaving WP

Hi there,
I was under the impression that the domain was free for the first year with the plan.
You’re right that the domain is included for the plan’s first year. The .wordpress.com subdomain is free and comes with free hosting on WordPress.com. However, it sounds like you are not planning to host your site on WordPress.com? If that is the case, all you need to do is point the domain’s nameservers to where your site is hosted, and you’ll see trollinthetreeline.com as the primary domain.
There will be no need for a plan or anything additional with us if you’re pointing the domain elsewhere. You will only need a paid plan to see your custom domain as primary if you host your site with us.
Where is your site hosted? To point your domain over to your new site, you can follow the steps herehttps://wordpress.com/support/domains/change-name-servers/#changing-name-servers-to-point-away-from-word-press-com
Hope that makes sense. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!
