Subject: Request to Recover Free WordPress Site – vallurylineage.wordpress.com
Message:
Hello WordPress Support,
I am trying to recover access to my free WordPress.com site: vallurylineage.wordpress.com.
Unfortunately, I no longer remember the email address or password associated with the account. The site was created as a family history project, and I am a direct member of the Vallury family. I am the original creator or contributor to this site.
Here is what I can share to help verify ownership:
Site URL: https://vallurylineage.wordpress.com
Approximate date of creation: around 2011
Purpose of the site: Documenting the Vallury family lineage
Any names or usernames I may have used: santoshvallury
Possibly used emails: (email visible only to moderators and staff)
My connection to the site: “I am a family member and original author of the content”
I understand that since this is a free account, options may be limited, but I would be grateful for any help to regain access to manage or export the site content.
Thank you!
Santosh Vallury
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I understand you’re having trouble accessing your family history site – it’s completely understandable how upsetting it can be to lose access to something so personal and meaningful.
Let me help clarify the account recovery process for your situation:
- Do you have access to any email confirmations, receipts, or activation messages from when you originally created the site?
- Are you able to provide any of the specific proof of ownership items required by our Account Recovery team?
Account Recovery Process
Since you don’t remember your login credentials, you’ll need to use our Account Recovery form. This is the only official method for regaining access to lost accounts. You can access it here: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery
The Account Recovery team requires specific proof of ownership, which includes:
- Transaction ID (from any purchases made)
- Activation URL (from your original signup email)
- Authentication code (if previously set up)
Important Limitations
Unfortunately, the content visible on your site (including your name or family information) cannot be accepted as proof of ownership. This policy protects all users’ accounts from unauthorized access attempts.
If you cannot provide the required proof of ownership documentation, the Account Recovery team will not be able to restore access to your account.
For detailed information about account recovery requirements and the complete process, review our Account Recovery guide.
Thanks
