Recover my blog
-
I’ve deleted a wordpress blog that I hadn’t used since 2009. And now I can’t access my own blog, which must have been a subsidiary of the aforementioned. I have asked on the wordpress forum, but so far no responses. HELP!

Yes, I am aware of that. But I cannot access the dashboard. I am no longer identified as the author, because it was a subsidiary blog on my account. The primary blog was one I had not used since 2009 so I deleted it, and as a consequence I cannot now access the subsidiary (active) one. Which means I cannot add content, make changes, access the stats.. anything. I can only see it as a viewer.

Hey there,
Sorry you lost access, but there are ways to fix that issue! You can fill out the Account Recovery form, which requires proof of ownership, as an option for regaining access to your account.
You’ll find step by steps on account recovery right here.
Hope this helps! -
Hi there,

I see you have created threads with similar concern in past.

In this thread you mentioned deleting your primary account. You haven’t deleted your blog as it is visible to me and @fstat. Also from what I see the blog is linked to your current account @adaclaire.
So it is unclear which account/blog have you deleted and wish to recover.
If you have access issues to this account, then submit this Account Recovery Form https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery
Also go through this link https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/Let us know if you have any other questions.

I am really sorry if I’m not making myself clear.
I have followed all the above advice.
I do indeed get onto my site AS A VISITOR.
If I try to go from the blog and into top left hand ‘my site’ and then click the drop down ‘my site’, I am taken to a page that says ‘you don’t have any WordPress sites yet’ -

I believe I may have used the wrong terminology above thread, I think I deleted my primary blog, which was called ‘encompass’ and had been dormant for 8 years. As a consequence I have lost access to the dashboard of the writingbloomsbury account. -
Hi @adaclaire, the site is visible; you just need access to the account itself, right?
Let me know whether you have any of these proofs of ownership:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/If you do, you can enter them into the form or we can contact you via email. Don’t share them publicly here, of course. :) Let us know what you have.

Hello, thanks for your suggestions. I think it explains above, I have followed the advice: I have reset password, and entered a key code, and still I am only able to access the blog AS A VISITOR.
Please don’t close this thread as it is still very much unresolved! I need to cite the blog in a press release for a prize I’m about to be awarded but I don’t want to send people to a site I can only see but can’t access the dashboard of. Thanks in advance. It’s now morning where I am and I hope someone technical is in my time zone… -
