Recover my WordPress.com account
-
Hello,
I used to have a blog with my username sweediefashion.
But I forgot the password and the emailadress I used for registration doesn’t exist anymore. Is there a way my account can be recovered?
It is connected to my new website with jet pack, I can prove by ID card that I’m the person from the imprint. -
Hi @sweediebows;
If the site is using our managed hosting from WordPress.com then you can try the account recovery form here:
If you are trying to access a WordPress install that’s connected to WordPress.com via jetpack, you need to use your WordPress site credentials before you can access WordPress admin.
If you are having trouble with those, you’ll want to contact your hosting company or ask in the forums at https://wordpress.org/support/forums
If needed, you can reset your WordPress site password following this guide: https://wordpress.org/support/article/resetting-your-password/
Just to clarify, this support forum assists users with sites on the WordPress.com platform. More on the differences here> https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
Hope this helps.
Best :)

Hey,
Thanks for your reply.
I’ve already tried to use the recovery forum but as I don’t have a transaction ID or the activate Url, I can’t send my request there. Tried to write some not public details about my side but that doesn’t let me send the request without having a transaction ID.Is there any other way to reach the support?
It’s a WordPress.com hosted side/blog

Hi @sweediebows, I’m afraid we won’t be able to help you recover access to the account without a valid proof of ownership.
An ID will not help as it is not something we ask from you when you create an account. Please send us an email to
passwordhelp@wordpress.com– our Account Recovery team can provide more information about that.
