Recover Old Account/Username

  I want to replace my current username/account with an old one that I closed, but for some reason, I am having issues recovering. Can anyone help?

  WP.com: Unknown
  Jetpack: Yes
  Correct account: Yes

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to moderators and staff)

  Hello there!

  Once you change your username you will not be able to change it back and the old name will not be available for you or anyone to use. If you just want to show your name differently please only change your Display Name.

  I’m not looking to change my username, I’m looking to recover an old account. I was able to access the old account recovery form but I could not submit it.

  I know it’s possible because I did it before. I’m looking for a resolution or to speak with a WordPress representative.

  It’s not possible to restore that account or reuse that username as it’s been deleted two years ago. You can read more here:
