recover website

  hello
  my website was mysouq.co
  i have not used it for a long time , now the domain got taken i just need to get my files back or can i just transfer the whole content of the website to a new domain

  The site I need help with is http://www.mysouq.co. This site is not linked to my WordPress.com account.

  Hi there. Your site mysouq.co was never hosted here at WordPress.com, so we don’t have any files that you could recover here. It’s likely that you were using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted elsewhere.

  Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.

  If you never cancelled your hosting account, you can reach out to them to see if they still have your site files. If you also cancelled your hosting, then I’m afraid your information is lost unless you had a separate backup solution.

  You could try to look up your site at The Internet Archive to see if you can find any of your old content there and copy and paste that content to a new post on your new site.
