Recovering a website / Hosting issues
-
Is there a way to speak with a live representative of WordPress??? Thanks
I am looking to recover a website who’s domain was not paid and I believe the host is wp. Thanks -
Hi there, what’s the address of that site? Keep in mind that this support forum assists users with free websites hosted on the WPcom platform. WPcom (where we are ) and WP are separate entities with different documentation and support forums. More information about the differences can be found here: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

Have you clicked on the link you provided? That domain was registered at GoDaddy today and is parked there. Is GoDaddy where you registered the domain originally? Perhaps you let the domain expire for so long that someone else has purchased it.

It expired and I bought it again today.
I don’t know if it was originally purchased with go daddy.
I am new to this organization and no one knows who was the host. so I am trying to figure out if the website files (content, images, etc) is still somewhere in cyberspace so I can bring back the website. -
Hi again, I’ve flagged this thread for Staff attention as they will be able to let you know if upininwood.nyc was ever mapped to a WordPress.com website. Thanks for your patience while they get back to you.

Little bits of the site are still on the Interweb. The Wayback Machine crawled it just 3 times in 2018 but not since.

Yep, I did look earlier in the Wayback Machine, but not much is there. Two crawls of the site’s front page in 2018 and a redirect. Thanks for the link.

Hi there,
It doesn’t look like that site was ever hosted with WordPress.com. When it was first registered in 2017, it was poiting to http://www.startlogic.com, does that sound familiar?
I’m afraid there’s nothing else we can do to help you here. You will need to reach to your previous host.
