Recovering access to account without using blog name
-
I’m writing in a new account. I’d like to regain access to an account that I created in 2009. The root obstacle to regaining access is that I don’t know the account’s password.
Also, I no longer have access to the email account that I used and I didn’t set up two-factor authentication (if it even was offered back then).
But I do know a fair amount about the account: I know its name and I know that that name is still registered. (It’s an unusual enough name that I’m confident someone else didn’t somehow end up using it.) I know the account’s email address of record, its day of creation and its activation URL, all of which are things that the advanced account recovery dialog box has places for.
Unfortunately, I don’t know the blog name that I used when creating the account! And without the blog name, the account recovery dialog box won’t let me submit the data that I do know.
Basically, I want to recover my old account for new use. I don’t care about past blog activity.
Is there a way forward?
Thanks!

Flagged for the staff to help – dumb form – should let you submit with some blanks forms (or would if I designed it)- Oh well – the staff should figure something out for you
