Recovering access to an old blog
-
Hello, I am writing because a while ago I created the site https://christinedwarner.wordpress.com/ under the username christinedwarner. I later went and made a new wordpress account and started a different blog under the username chrisdw. Now I would like to use christinedwarner.wordpress.com again but it is no longer on the list of blogs I own and I can no longer access the page as an admin even when I sign into wordpress using my old christinedwarner username.
If I try to sign up for the domain name with my chrisdw account it says the domain has already been taken (by me under the other username!), so I can’t sign up for it again nor can I sign in to my original account and see it in my dashboard.
When I actually type in the address and go to the site it says that nothing is written there (because I never started writing in it). Is there any way to get this blog back? Anything I can do to prove that I actually made it?
Thank you very much for your time.
Christine

but it is no longer on the list of blogs I own…
Since you used two separate email addresses for the two blogs, these are in separate accounts, and WordPress has no inherent way of recognizing that you own them both.
and I can no longer access the page as an admin even when I sign into wordpress using my old christinedwarner username.
Based on your description, I presume you remember the email associated with https://christinedwarner.wordpress.com/, and the password? That should be enough. What happens when you enter the password? Have you checked the Social and Spam folders of your email account?
If the above tips don’t help, please visit the support page Account Recovery. The password can be reset. If both password and email address are lost or forgotten, then you can gain access to the account using the Account Recovery Form.
