Recovering account
-
I forgot my e-mail connected to the account wordpress.com. How can I discover the e-mail linked to my account?
The only thing I know is the username. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
You can login without your email address, just using your username and password. Once you login, you can find the account email address under the Account Settings section of your Profile.
No password? Here is a link that can walk you through account recovery with your username:

Hi ferpolli,
As @webmasterto, it is possible to login to WordPress.com with a username or email address. What is the username of the account are unable to remember the email address for?
-
Thank you guys.
The problem is that I don’t remember my email and password. So, when I try to recover my password, they send a email for the email account I’ve subscribed on wordpress, but I have no idea which email this is.
Another problem is, when I try to recover the account they ask for “Proof of Ownership”, and I don’t have a transaction ID, the activation URL or key, neither two factor authentication code. Therefore I can’t submit the form.
This is the form link I’m talking about: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recoveryPs.: the account I’m trying to recover is not this one, it’s another one.
Do you have any idea if I can contact wordpress directly?
-
the account I’m trying to recover is not this one, it’s another one.
Thanks, but let Staff know what that username account is so that they can continue to assist you and point you in the right direction. (@gemmacevans is WordPress.com staff.)

I would try, if I knew the email. I don’t remember which email is.
Could you please indicate, privately, which email is it?This is the only way I can try to regain access to the email account linked to the wordpress account I’m trying to have access again.
-
We aren’t able to give hints, but if you can remember your old addresses and share them here (only staff will be able to see them), we could confirm.
-
Ok,
I will try to remember some old email addresses and I indicate it here, for you to confirm.Meanwhile, can you just give a clue? Something like “outlook” does when you lose your password, for example…
Something like: (email visible only to moderators and staff) or (email visible only to moderators and staff) -
Hi there,
As @supernovia said above, we cannot give hints regarding the email address connected to a WordPress.com account, as that would defeat the entire point of requiring you to give us the correct email address in order to verify your account ownership.
-
Ok,
ThanksEmail addresses:
(email visible only to moderators and staff)
(email visible only to moderators and staff)
(email visible only to moderators and staff)
(email visible only to moderators and staff) -
We aren’t able to confirm/deny which email address is connected to the account. You will need to try and sign in with them one at a time or submit the Account Recovery form.

As I said before:
“Another problem is, when I try to recover the account they ask for “Proof of Ownership”, and I don’t have a transaction ID, the activation URL or key, neither two factor authentication code. Therefore I can’t submit the form”.This account is very very old.
First, I don’t have transaction ID, because I did not purchased any upgrades on WordPress.com.
Second, I don’t have an activation URL or key because I don’t remember my email address.
Finally, I don’t have two factor authentication, because I never set up two factor authentication, and neither have an authenticator app here to prove ownership.I’ve already tried to submit the form, as I said before.
I’m just trying to shut down an old blog, but I don’t remember the email.
You already said you cannot provide the email related to the username.
So, is there something else I can do to prove the ownership of this account? -
If you cannot provide verification of ownership, and you aren’t receiving our password reset emails, then there is nothing we can do. We cannot give you access to an account without verification of ownership.
I can see several password reset attempts on the dreyefer account, and our logs show those emails are being delivered, so if you have access to the correct email address you must be receiving them.
I notice some of the emails you provided above are Gmail addresses. Gmail sometimes filter our emails to the Social or Updates tabs instead of sending them to the Inbox. Please check those, and also in spam, for the password reset emails we’ve already sent.
