Recovering account
-
Hello,
it’s been few months since my last log into my account (from PC where login was saved) – it is site, not blog.
Today I cant log in neither with my Username or with my email address – it says “User does not exist.” I dont think it’s wrong though :)
As I created that website about 6 yrs ago, I dont have any authenthication code/SMS verification/addon purchase. Is it possible to log in without any of these 3 “proof solutions”?
Of course I know some confidentials from my website which are not publicly available, but when trying to recover, I cant get over these 3 proof solutions.
Thank you very much!

Hi Sabina,

What is the address of the site you need help with?
The account recovery options can be used for WordPress.com sites, but not those using WordPress.org software with another host (we have no access to those sites).
Today I cant log in neither with my Username or with my email address – it says “User does not exist.”
If the site is hosted on WordPress.com, you could try commenting on one of the posts. This should send a comment notification to the email address connected to that site — and that can be used to reset the password. That way you can be sure you are entering the correct email address into the password form :)
