Recovering account created with a now-deleted email

  Hello,

  A while back, I bought a domain not realizing that the email I used for that account was my work email, not a personal one. When I left the company, my work email was deleted, and I have lost access to that particular WordPress account/domain. I’d really like to have it back. Is there a way to remedy this issue? I’m not sure I’ll be able to contact the web developer at my former job to help me retrieve it.

  Many thanks for that additional information. It looks like you would need to attempt an account recovery. If a purchase has been made, if you’re able to locate a transaction ID https://en.support.wordpress.com/billing-history/#retrieving-a-transaction-id – this can be used with the account recovery form here: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery
