Recovering disappeared website
-
Hi I have been trying to set up a SSL with my wordpress website and redirect it to a Weebly site where I built an online store and I believe mistakes were made as my site has now vanished. I need help recovering it back or at least be able to create another WordPress site as it’s not letting me create a new one since my old site still exists even though I don’t see it and not able to manage it anymore. I have to admit I was tinkering around with cpanel files and A-Host records to try to redirect it to my Weebly site.
My overall goal is to keep hosting my domain on BlueHost while having my domain be redirected to my Weebly/Squareup online store and establishing a SSL secured site on both ends. my online store wants to redirect my WordPress site, 512CrunchBar.com, to the store’s IP address which is 199.34.228.164.
Thanks for helping! -
Hi there!
I’m afraid that your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with Bluehost.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so we can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can read more about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com here:
https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/You can look for help at the community forums here: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
http://wordpress.org/support/ is also a great resource for sites using the open-source WordPress.org software.
