Recovering Domain Name
-
Hello, I had a private domain name with wordpress.com and deleted my account and terminated paid for plugins, but then realized that this was not what I had wanted to do. I was trying to change where my servers were pointing and instead lost my entire website and domain name. Is there any way that I can amend what I have done and get my contract back with my domain name? This is very very important and any help would be so appreciated.

What is the exact URL starting with http:// of the site you refer to please?
I’m asking because we cannot accurately answer questions posted here until we have confirmed the URL referred to and verified the hosting. And, that is why we are all prompted to provide the relevant URL when we create a new thread.

https://plantbasedtraveler.wordpress.com is no longer available. The authors have deleted this site.
All wordpress.com hosted blogs are on subdomain like this https://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com
Deleting a site permanently removes it and you’ll never be able to re-use its WordPress.com address (such as yourgroovysite.wordpress.com).
From https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and the only exceptions are made are for URLs that were deleted 2 or more years ago. http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/
You can register another .wordpress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
Then if you wish to you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade because it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.

thanks for the help, but still have a few more questions… I just spoke on the phone to Wild West Domain where the website was hosted and they said that there is a 5 day termination window that I can get back to the website. However, they said that I needed a 4 digit pin to access my account with them, but I could not find this information anywhere (only a receipt from you at WordPress for payment on my domain name.)
I really really really would like to get plantbasedtraveler.com back in my possession, so any help would be beyond appreciated.

Thank you so much for the help. I just added modlook into the tags section of the page and am subscribed.
The domain I am interest is http://www.plantbasedtraveler.com
I really hope a staff member finds this in the next few days so I don’t lose my opportunity to save the domain name.

Staff work their way forward through all threads tagged with modlook in datestamp order from the earliest dates to the most recent, as would be expected.

I can try and reverse the cancellation. I will let you know if I am successful, it typically takes 12-48 hours.
If successful, you will need to re-purchase the yearly domain registration. Then you will be able to use the domain here on WordPress.com or point your domain to a new webhost using these instructions:
