Recovering Expired Domain

  Hi,
  My domain (gustavoaasantana.net) has expired and apparently has been acquired by a another web site. Checking on https://www.register.com/whois.rcmx, I have noticed that it is registered until June 2019.
  I understand it is pretty difficult to recover it, but I’d like to get advice from you on how can I try it or start the recovery process.

  If your domain expired in June it’s likely it will be difficult to recover (especially if someone else has registered it). Here is some information about the process a domain goes through after expiration.

  My domain has expired and apparently has been acquired by a another web site.

  That site is now full of pornography. The domain must have expired well before June if that is when someone else purchased it. If you let a domain lapse long enough for it to be sold to someone else then you have lost that address.

  Hi gaasantana,

  Just adding to the reply @themagicrobot sent — gustavoaasantana.net expired on 26th March 2018. It was possible to recover the domain for some weeks after it expired but this is no longer possible due to the length of time that has passed. The domain wasn’t renewed so it was cancelled and released back into the pool of available domains, then registered by someone else through NameSilo.
